Murphy Backyard

Anyone growing up in the South knows that the backyard is an important place to congregate, second only to the kitchen; screen doors need to be replaced frequently from constant use. This image, Murphy Backyard, is from my "in 3 minutes" project. The project is about how quickly and unconsciously humans asses each person, place, or thing. Deciding and judging it for its usefulness or potential threat; is the human survival instinct at work long after the days we had to worry about lions, tigers, and bears.

I enjoy this image because it is so easy for me, growing up in the South,  to populate it with fictitious characters, situations, and stories.
