Stairway To Heaven

Stairway To Heaven is a very early image made at the start of my current project, In The Between. In the project, I pair images to provoke or illuminate the gap between them; the difference that defines the yin and yang. I begin by making single images that reflect and resonate with a spiritual value for me. However, each image must be complete and able to stand on its own merits alone. Stairway To Heaven is one of those images.

For the In The Between project, I eventually paired Stairway To Heaven with another image, The Gate, which I made several months later. The pairing of these two separate images became Between Number Fourteen in my In The Between Project."
