Last summer, I made daily trips to the above GPS location near my home. The objective of the trip was to achieve two things. One, get out of the house and COVID isolation and into nature. Two, to set aside some time and energy to meditate and detach from my reality; to remember that there is another reality, parallel to my perceived one, unaffected by all the values I impose onto it. It just is. It does as it does and has always done. It will remain long after I am gone.

This image, Swing, is now part of my As It Is -in B&W Collection. I feel the images in this collection work together to capture and express what I consider a zen-like experience. That was, at least, my experience when I made the image. So I will let you decide what that means and feels like for yourself.
